Hamza Zubair is a final-year PhD candidate at Monash University Malaysia and currently a Visiting Research Student at the University of Sydney. His research focuses on the effects of flexible working arrangements (FWAs) on travel demand, departure time choice, vehicle kilometres travelled, trip chaining, and congestion management. He applies survival analysis and discrete choice modelling using NLOGIT and Biogeme (Python), as well as machine learning, to understand post-pandemic travel behaviour. He also predicts optimised travel demand management strategies integrated with FWAs and develops sustainable, data-driven transport policies. His research interests include sustainable transport systems, transport economics, and demand management strategies for improving urban mobility.
